Consultant

LaGrange School System, LaGrange, Georgia, August 1983 to present. Began and operated the Difficult Child Project, a program designed to train teachers to work effectively with problem students. Wrote a handbook for teacher training. Provided state approved courses utilizing the Dynamic Socialization Approach to improve teachers' understanding of student behavior. Offered individual therapy for difficult students in the school setting. Trained counselors for continuation of DCP project.

Educational Consultant

Offered consultation and training in the use of Dynamic Socialization Approach to school systems, teachers, and counselors. Have conducted training in Dekalb, Bartow, Newton, Troup, Carroll, Harris, and many other systems in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.

CAFI Headstart, LaGrange, Georgia, January 1987 to June 1987. Offered consultation in the form of observation of children attending Headstart in four county areas, making recommendations for therapy and psychological evaluations, and fulfilling recommendations.

Program Coordinator

Adolescent Program, Rutland psychoeducational Center, Athens, Georgia, January 1981 to June 1983. Authored and implemented program for treatment of severely emotionally disturbed adolescents with a high school setting. Responsible for all administrative activities, including staff training, coordination of program areas, and school liaison. Staff training included the use of psychodynamic theories and various therapeutic techniques.

Military Experience

Sergeant (E-5), U.S. Army (retired), with Vietnam combat experience, June 1968 to November 1970. Honors included Purple Heart, National Defense Service Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star, Expert Infantry Badge, Parachutist Badge, Letter of Commendation from the President. Honorable discharge.
