Acupuncture - an orig. Chinese practice of puncturing the body (as with needles) at specific points to cure disease or relieve pain.

Articulate - expressing oneself readily, clearly, or effectively.

Autonomic Nervous System - The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is the part of the nervous system of the higher life forms that is not consciously controlled. It is commonly divided into two usually antagonistic subsystems: the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, and involves the homeostasis of organs and physiological functions.

Balance - a means of judging or deciding.

Biofeedback - the technique of making unconscious or involuntary bodily processes (as heartbeats or brain waves.)

Brainstorm - a sudden bright idea.

Cerebral Cortex - The cerebral cortex is a brain structure in vertebrates, including humans. In non-living, preserved brains, the outermost layers of the cerebrum has a grey color, hence the name "grey matter". Grey matter is formed by neurons and their unmyelinated fibers while the white matter below the grey matter of the cortex is formed predominantly by myelinated axons interconnecting different regions of the central nervous system.

Cessation - a temporary or final ceasing (as of action) : STOP .

Epinephrine - the principal blood-pressure raising hormone secreted by the adrenal medulla.

Homeostasis - relatively stable state of equilibrium or a tendency toward such a state between the different but interdependent elements or groups of elements of an organism, population, or group.

Hypertension - abnormally high blood pressure and especially arterial blood pressure.

Moderator - one who arbitrates : MEDIATOR

Necrosis - (in Greek Νεκρός = Dead) is the name given to unprogrammed death of cells and living tissue.

Prioritize - to list or rate (as projects or goals) in order of priority.

Procrastination - to put off intentionally and habitually.

Psychological - directed toward the will or toward the mind specifically in its conative function.

Repertoire - a supply of skills, devices, or expedients.

Socioeconomic status - of, relating to, or involving a combination of social and economic factors.

Sociological - of or relating to sociology or to the methodological approach of sociology

Techniques - a method of accomplishing a desired aim.

Transcendental Meditation - a philosophy that asserts the primacy of the spiritual and transcendental over the material and empirical

Regimen - a systematic plan especially when designed to improve and maintain the health of a patient.
